Primary school pupils applying to PASCAL English School must pass the entrance examinations in Mathematics and Greek. In addition, all pupils must take the diagnostic test in English. The result of this test is not included in the entrance criteria but helps the school to identify and address the language needs of new pupils. Depending on the result in English some pupils will be required to attend a summer induction programme. Candidates whose first language is English, take the entrance examinations in English and Mathematics. Candidates who are speakers of other languages take the entrance examination in Mathematics and the diagnostic test in English. If vacancies should exist in Years 2-6, the school will accept pupils from government and private secondary schools having examined the last progress report and/or having asked the pupil to take a placement examination in Mathematics and English and/or having invited the pupil for an interview. Candidates from local schools will need to complete their registration by the end of January. The applications from overseas candidates will be considered throughout the year.
